I know I haven’t written in a while; been super busy. Anyway, I really wanted to start using this blog for reviewing restaurants in Isla Vista, Goleta, and Santa Barbara.

Today’s restaurant: El Sitio

I’ve only been to this place twice, but both times the food has been absolutely delicious. I’m a picky eater, but the beef tacos I got were fantastic. I added cheese and it was just so delicious. They were a good price too at $2.80 for two tacos. The burritos are kind of expensive but well worth it. The beer is pretty cheap too, and you can choose from Bud Light and Firestone. However, if you want to go, you’d better be able to speak Spanish, and none of the works speak any English.

7) My family. I love my aunts and uncles and cousins (obviously, since I’ve already mentioned them). They make me who I am and help me to understand myself. They always believe in me and let me know that I do have a shot in this world. Thanks, guys <3

5) I’ll go ahead and start the technology part of this thing with my thankfulness for facebook. Oh facebook, what would I do without you? I can hear about parties, keep up with friends who are hundreds (or thousands) of miles away, buy/sell stuff, tell people how I feel, show people my hopes and dreams and failures, upload pictures, and basically show all the minutiae of my life to friends (and random strangers!). Thank you, Mark Zuckerberg, for distracting me from my homework.

Things For Which I’m Thankful (Day 3)

3) My cousins. They have always been around since the day I was born to help me out. They’re my best friends and they’re always there for me. I’m so proud of all of them! They are all accomplishing so many goals that I don’t think I’ll ever catch up! Jenny, the oldest, got her bachelor’s from Indiana University and her master’s from Temple, and she married her now-husband Brad in July 2006 and had her first daughter, Katie, in August of 2007. They own their own home just outside of Dallas, TX. My next oldest, Tara, has a fabulous job that she loves! She lives in Nicholasville, KY and is like my sister! My next, Becca, just finished up culinary school to become a pastry chef, and she’s currently working on her externship to graduate pretty soon. She lives in Austin, TX and loves it there.

I miss them all terribly, but I know they are happy. Hopefully I will get to where my heart wants to go, someday, like they did. They’re my heroes!

1) My boyfriend, Derek. I met him in July of 2005 and we started dating in October of 2006. He is my anchor and my one and only, always.

I decided to start another blog for my upcoming photo journal, which I plan to begin on my 21st birthday (July 24). So instead of bombarding my livejournal or myspace with 365 pictures, I thought I’d stick them on here. For now, I’ll list things I’m thankful for everyday, and see how many I can get between now and July.
